Thoughts

I have many happy memories of time spent in Seaton & Colyton with Richard, Hazel, George and Tara. I have particular memories of Richard being in his element dancing in The Grove to Michael Jackson's Beat it! We were delighted when Richard met Sue and we always arranged to get together when we came down on holiday to Devon or Cornwall. We would usually meet on the beach, then sometimes go for a walk and then always a curry back at our cottage. Sue has become a great friend and our love and friendship will continue well into the future. Rest in peace mate.

Dearest Rich, almost 12 years of putting up with us and the kids next door, and the thousands of footballs finding their way into your garden. Steve misses the football banter, but so glad you got to witness the second biggest team in Manchester win the Treble (haha). We’re sad to not see you out the front this summer for a drink or two. Sleep well neighbour xxxx

Well Richard really don't know where to start. Remember you arriving in Seaton as a teenager and immediately becoming involved in Seaton Cricket Club where you worked tirelessly for so many years in every capacity from grounds person, player, fixtures secretary, colts assistant, plus anything else that needed doing. So many people have their stories and memories of you to tell and I'm sure you'll be remembered for many years to come, which in itself is a lasting tribute. My favourite memory is of you doing Michael Jackson's 'Moonwalk' on many occasions including a memorable party at our house in 1987! Have to say you did it very well. So pleased you met Sue, many years ago now, and became husband and wife. RIP Richard x
